A letter was mailed from this company which also had a UK office at: 7901 W Hughes St, London, England. It had a password and check made payable to me for over $8,965.90 stating that I won the lottery of $500,000.00 and they were sending me this partial check deducted from my winnings in order to enable me to pay for the tax, insurance, shipping and handling on my winnings. The balance of my prize winning was $491,034.10. I was advised to call my claims’ agent: Kane Albert first before acting on my letter. The letter was signed by manager Andrew Brien. I have been contacted by numerous people connected with this scam. Initially it was by phone. They claimed to be from Publishers Clearing House. I was informed that I had winnings anywhere from 2M – 8M and a vehicle. However they asked that I pay for taxes, insurance, shipping and handling. I refused over and over. I told them to take me off their list, but they would hang up. I then received in the mail a letter of my winnings and a check for almost 9K which I have enclosed in the attachment below. After reporting to the Federal Trade Commission, FBI, and the ScamPulse.com I received a call from them with great concern in their voice.

I received a check for the amount of $8,965.90 as a winner in the second category of the International general market survey held on June 12, 2017. It stated I was entitled to the sum of $500,000.00. The enclosed check of $$8,965.90 was deducted from the winnings to pay for the tax, insurance, shipping and handling on my winnings. The balance of my winnings was $491,034.10. To claim the prize winnings I was advised to call 1-604- 360-5723. It also stated to call and speak to a claims’ agent before taking any action. I called and when the agent answered, I asked him if the letter and check was a scam. He immediately hung up on me. I then called the ScamPulse.com and explained to the agent all of the above information, and he advised me to report the scam.
