I searched Google for a Tuffy horse halter and was directed to Gaited Horse Tack Shop and ordered a halter. I received a confirmation of my order via email. After over a week and the arrival of no product, I contacted the company via email; no response. After several more days and no appearance of the halter, I sent another inquiry. There is no mailing address or telephone number listed. There are also no site reviews or blogs, though there is a blog link on the site. All kinds of red flags I missed. A week after my transaction, there was a fraudulent charge on my credit card placed overseas in excess of $68 for an Uber ride; I suspect the breach was through this attempted purchase. After a third attempt to contact this company, still with no response, I began to put all the pieces together and realize this is a scam and was used to steal my credit card information! An option to pay via PayPal was also not offered. The "About Us" site has a prominent post stating a portion of all sales is donated to the Wounded Warrior Project with a very believable depiction of that logo. The site itself is very realistic and artful with many details and high end horse products. Another clue I missed is that all returns must be made to the product manufacturer.
