Type of a scam Employment
I applied for a remote Administrative Assistant position through a posting I found on Indeed. I was messaged a few days later on Indeed with the instructions to send my resume to [email protected] (Not a copying error on my part by the way) which I did. The following email was sent by an individual named Richard Vermillion who stated he was the Chief Executive of Fulcrum Analytics Group. The email detailed how much I was to make per week and asked various questions such as when I would like to be paid and asked me to reconfirm my contact details including name, mailing address, and mobile phone number. After replying to this, I received the second email which is the attached example. I tried to look up information about Fulcrum Analytics and found that it is a legitimate business and Richard Vermillion is the CEO, but the email domain did not match the one that I had replied to. In addition, the type of work that is detailed in the email seem very suspect and could be a potential scam. After receiving the second email, I have made no contact with the user or group nor have I received another email or other correspondence.
