Person sent facebook message using my friend’s name.
Said, "Did you hear about the HIG money grant?
It’s a new program and you don’t have to pay it back, i received $160,000 from this program and i managed to see your name on their list when they arrived at my door, that is why i decide to ask you. Haven’t you receive yours yet ?"
Beginning of the message said, "Using Messenger without Facebook
Logged in using a phone number from United States
Different from your Facebook friend "
Responded by telling him that he was scamming me and I was going to report it and then he disconnected. I notified my friend about this so he could notify others that this message was not coming from him.
