In a recent query for foreclosed properties in my area, I came upon this website ForeclosureSearch.ca that was listing 2 properties in my town. It is a paid service site that allows you to see initial information (no pics) about the properties they are advertising and requires that you register/pay them $30-$40 to see the rest of the detailed information about each property.
To my surprise, the property I clicked on which was advertising a 2 bedroom/2bath 960sq ft home in my home town turned out to have a "notes" description that was identical to a property that I am currently selling through Comfree here in Canada. No mistaking it, the paragraph was forged/plagarized from my house description that I am selling from the MLS website.
Tried calling them to register a complaint and request they take down the listing information, but keep getting voicemail for Customer Service and for Sales. Nobody returns my calls.
There is no email complaint option.
Warning to all home sellers, if your selling your home, check to see if they have stolen your data/information for your home as well.
