Type of a scam Online Purchase

This company advertised on Instagram and pretended to be doing a watch giveway to create buzz about the ‘new’ brand. Of course shipping and tax had to be covered, and was promptly charged to my CC. It’s been 4 months now and there’s no sign of my order, no response to inquiries and tracking ‘magically’ doesn’t return any results on the website. Complete sam, but due to well done website seems legitimately upscale.

Type of a scam Counterfeit Product

Ordered a watch based on an Instagram promotion (you pay the $9.95 shipping fee, get a free watch). Site claims to be a San Francisco local company, but images on website appeared to be stolen from other sources, and reverse image searching showed the product to be a cheap watch you could buy from China. I received the watch weeks later from an unknown Chinese company/address and found it to be very shottily made, covered in scratches and dents, and obviously not from an American startup.
