Type of a scam Employment
My employer received an email from Adam Raymond last summer about choreographing a flash mob routine for his daughter’s wedding. We were interested in helping out, but we were unavailable during the time frames he desired. After politely turning him down through her account, I received an email to my account with the same request. I didn’t think too much of it and declined again. I have not heard back from him, however, I belong to *** Teacher Network on Facebook and someone recently posted they, too, got this email. It started a chain message of several studio owners and teachers saying they received the same email. Mind you, it has come from various names and email addresses (David Powell, Michael Scott, Hardcole Delinson, Mike Holland, Michael Phillip, Elizabeth Johnson, Derrick Wollmann, Halle Berry, Victoria Johnson…) but consisted of the same exact message. I did not get this far with my email, but others posted when it came to payment. Another person in the conversation said, "They tend to get you to authorize a certain amount on the credit card which turns out to be fraudulent, and then they want you to give the driver cash." Another said the man wanted the studio to wire money to the driver bringing the bridesmaids to the studio.
