Received text after searching online for work from home opportunities. After I received the text, I was sent a check and instruction letter. After reading the letter and having my husband read the letter and then retreading the letter there were several phishy/fishy things about it. They sent a check for $1967.80 that I was to cash/deposit in my account, I was then to take the cash to various stores selling eBay gift cards and purchase $1600 worth of cards ( to be used for next assignment). Then I was to peal the silver area off and send pictures of the cards front and back by text and email and complete a survey on my experience at each store. Oh the remaining $367.80 was my payment for completing the task. I was not to tell anyone about the task, not even the cashier at the bank. Red flags everywhere. I believe the check is fake, they would have the information to use the cards if instructions were followed so I would have been out the amount of the check and the cards would have been useless.
