Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
Received a call from a male who said was with Financial Release Solutions from a (731) 267-0989 number. He went on to say he was calling in regards to lowering my credit card interest rate. He asked me for my Master Card credit card number, which I unfortunately gave them, as well as my ssn. After that, he told me I needed to pay a fee of $599 in order to get started. Once I realized this was a scam, I told him I wasn’t interested and he got really angry with me for not wanting to continue and threatened to say he was going to close my Capital One account. I immediately called Capital One, closed the account and am being sent a new card.
