Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
I received a phone call and got a message from the 202 washington number from Karen Parker stating that there was a federal program for student loan forgiveness. When I called back to investigate the initial recording asks "If your student loans are under 10k press 1 if they are over 10k press two" So I pressed two and was greeted by a male named "Lamar" stating Karen was out of the office and he was handling her cases. I asked him what the call was in reference too and he reported that due to the amount of my student loans I was eligible for a FEDERAL based loan forgiveness program and then asked me what the exact total of my loans were and if I had access to a computer to fill out a form with my personal information. He then proceeded to ask my full name, date of birth and my social. At that time I asked him to repeat the name of his company and he promptly replied "You know what dont call back". Because I wanted to investigate further I called back the number and he answered the phone and stated "What you dont have anything better to do than call me all day sweet cheeks?" I told him he was a crook and a scammer and he replied "What are you going to do about it". I called back one more time and another person called himself "Nixon" Regardless these people are scamming and trying to obtain SS numbers birthdays and student loan information from people and have no shame about it.
