Type of a scam Government Grant
The agent William Thompson representing the Federal Government Compensation Benefits, used someones identity we know on facebook messenger to send a text to us. He offered a government benefit program to my husband. We found out later this "facebook friend" had been hacked again. In order to get these benefits we needed to send Mr. Thompson $5000.00. I reported it to Facebook and they removed it. Our hacked "bogus friend" said that she got this info from a lawyer friend and that she had received her money within 48 hours. Of course we called her on the phone since we know her. But she didn’t answer. So we went to her house, she wasn’t home and her phone wasn’t working she could only text. My husband gave too much sensitive information before he realized his mistake. But my husband didn’t complete the transaction.
