Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes
A man by the name of Mark Kruppenbuker, a federal office, called my cell number looking for my father who passed away in 2000. Stated that my dad had won a large sum of money thru Winners Sweepstakes.com in 2015. When I explained my dad had passed away he said I would then be the one who would get his money if I had proof I was is sole heir. He wanted my name, phone number which is the one he called me on and additional information. He told me his supervisor would be calling me within 3 hours to verify I was the sole heir. He also told me that the funds were being held in a financial institution for safe keeping, North Stone Financial Group. A woman called about 2 hours later from 202-558-4547 but I didn’t answer. she left a message to call her back. When I did the call went to her voice mail. I called Mark back and told him I was not interested in going forward with the recovery. He immediately hung up.
