Received a US Government CAGE code to allow me to do contracts with US Government. Received a scam contact via Docusign saying the sender is a 3rd party organization with implied US Government connection and that in order to receive contracts and register with (completely free) government databases I needed to contract with them and pay $3000 per year in support fee. Similar to how D&B does FREE 3rd party work for government contractors, this only became evident as scam once you see the $3000 price tag. Everything else sounded ‘official enough’.
