My HP (Hewlitt Packard) printer was not working so I found HP Technical Help Line and phone number 1800833122, I phoned the number and they claimed to be HP so I allowed them to ‘access’ my computer. He said I had the Torpig Virus infection and that it ‘prevented’ Microsoft from giving me Security Upgrades and also a ‘Foreign IP Address’ appeared on my computer. I got suspicious because I ‘regularly’ check my computer for viruses. He insisted I had a virus and I should leave my computer for an hour (go have a cup of coffee) and he would fix everything. At this point I got very suspicious, and asked again if he was an official HP technician. He tried ‘deflecting’ and finally admitted he was NOT HP but an authorized dealer. At that point I immediately closed his access to my computer, and contacted HP and they e-mailed me telling me they thought it was a scam. The company was called FEBLINE INC. 22543 Ventura Blvd. Their Tech Support number is 18662636459 . They were NOT an authorized HP Dealer. …. it was a SCAM …
