Type of a scam Online Purchase
I found an ad for a puppy on Craigslist and the woman told me she was trying to re-home her two French bulldogs. I contacted her via email and we talked back and forth and she said she was sending the puppy through a pet carrier agency. They contacted me via phone and email and asked for the payment to be sent only through MoneyGram. I thought it odd that a business would take payment through MoneyGram but I sent the payment anyway. MoneyGram cancelled the payment because of security reasons. The man called me back and said to make the payment again but to a different "cashier". I told him I would not send any more money until I saw the dog delivered to my house. He has continued to email me and tell me to make payment before he can deliver. I have not responded to any more to his emails. They have what seems like a legitimate website at first glance but when you read the testimonials and other info on the website you can tell it is fake. They gave me a tracking number and everything. They were very deceiving and had the scam very well planned out.
