Type of a scam Online Purchase
After purchasing at Amzon.com, the website popped up saying I am eligible for free watch, sunglasses etc. with just shipment charge ($5.95). The transaction was 2/10/17 and done by CMC*Checkoutretail, wantagh, NY. I used MC. The watch and sunglasses was shipped via USPS first class Pkg. There was no information in the package, only tag saying "you can reach us at toll free (844) 418-1733. Nothing indicated that this is scam, but there should have been the instruction or transaction paper enclosed.
On March 26, my wife called me that there are two unaccounted transaction in MC, which were $98.95 (2/25 transaction date, posted on 2/27 by OKOM Wellness, 8448757333, FL) and $89.95 (transaction 2/25 and posted on 2/28, CMC*Checkoutretail, Wantagh, NY). On March 27, I received the unexpected package. It was from Fashion Nuevo. I called (844) 418-1733. Miraculously, I could talk to customer service. She was saying I was enrolled in their membership and has a permission to keep sending items. I said "please cancel it and I want to return items." She replied I cannot return goods and will be charged. I searched this business by Google. But, nothing showed up. She said I did not read the policy. But, there is no website and how can I read the policy. I canceled my MC and am waiting for the investigation by MC. Probably, I have to pay transaction because it was too late.
