Type of a scam Tax Collection
I got a phone call from 226-400-0081. They left a voice message on my machine, so I called them back. A man with an Indian accent told me he was from CRA and if I didn’t pay late penalties, I would be prosecuted.
I was pretty sure this was a scam and that the real Canada Revenue would send letters by mail, so I hung up on him.
