Fake – Auditory Specialist with Helping Hands

Victim Location 77069

Type of a scam Phishing

The person, usually, Joe- whom I believe might be a computer, asks, "Can you hear me?" Then Joe asks if you want to be removed from the call list. (Don’t say, "yes") They are trying to record you saying yes to something! They tell you they are on a recorded line and keep trying to get you to answer questions. Second question is usually if anyone in the house has a hearing issue. (Again, they want you to record you saying, "yes") They call at least half a dozen times a day from different numbers trying to get the hearing impaired person to answer the phone. They have been told to stop calling numerous times. Upon looking the numbers up, they have been reported as fraudulent online. I initiated call block on our loved one’s home phone and started blocking every number they call from. This is so sad.

It was upon researching on the internet I found the website address for this scam. Someone listed it as: www.Listenclear.com

They want to get you saying, "yes" Then they will say you agreed to the calls and trick you into buying hearing aides.

Many others are posting the same story: https://salvageable04.wordpress.com/2017/01/19/hello-my-name-is-joe/

This needs to stop! They are targeting the elderly and people with disabilities. Please don’t fall for it and protect your loved ones.
