Total money lost $300

Type of a scam Tech Support

I am a 68yr old senior citizen living on social security. I googled facebook to obtain their ph#. I was directed to Driver Armor who charged me $229.99 for tech assistance. They then referred me to Facebook Support where I spoke with a Ruben Nash & Sandra Williams (844-999-1899) ext# 2300 who stated she was the SR. Supervisor of billing for facebook. I was instructed to purchase $300 worth of Itunes cards. Foolishly I purchased the cards and provided the information to the scammers who stated cards weren’t valid & advised me to purchase an addtl $300 worth of Itune Cards. This is when my alarm went off & I realized it was a scam after the loss of $300

Type of a scam Phishing

I was having trouble logging into my Facebook. I have a two step password for any devices that it doesn’t know. I broke my phone, and even though I had the same phone number the code was not sending. They called me saying someone hacked me, and at first he sounded legit until he started to ask me for my bank account number. I questioned the guy on why he needed that because that didn’t sound right. When I told him I didn’t have a bank he asked me to go out and purchase an iTunes card, call him back to give him that number then go to billing on fb and it would work. I thankfully didn’t fall for it, and when my fiance called him back he kept hanging up. I know better but I don’t want anyone else to fall for it.
