Type of a scam Utility
We received a phone call at our business on Friday afternoon from the notated phone number above. The representative stated they were calling from Eversource and we had a past due balance of 2300.00. If we did not provide immediate routing number to our bank, they would be shutting off our power. They stated they had taken over for Unitil who is our current provider. We contacted Unitil immediately and they informed us that this was not factual and indeed a scam that needed to be reported. I called the above number again today, Saturday, and informed the representative of the call we received yesterday and that we would be filing a report. She laughed very loud into the phone and told me good luck. I would very much appreciate someone looking into this immediately so that others are not impacted by these individuals.
