Type of a scam Online Purchase

I found a vehicle that was for sale on a website called oodle. When contacting the seller, it emailed me back from eusaclassics.com stating that they were the broker for the seller.

From there if I wanted the vehicle, I was asked to transfer money through their website using giftcards/prepaid cards to cover a partial cost of the item. Their reasoning was that hackers are using credit card numbers or tracking information to steal identity. However leary, I did what I was asked. I had googled to see if anyone else had been scammed by eUSAclassics before and was directed to 3-4 other website forums for items such as 4×4’s, boats, cars, bikes, etc. There were multiple posts of someone asking if it was a scam and then people stating that they had good experiences with them even though it seems a bit off. So I was hopeful and went through with the payment. After that initial payment was received, they emailed me to tell me that I then had to pay the full amount since they would be shipping the vehicle and there was a minimum purchase that I would not meet with the full cost of the vehicle so they were asking for full price at that time. I did as I was asked.

I was then given an arrival/delivery date that has come and gone. They will no longer respond to emails and have shut off their messaging. I was able to see where the gift cards were spent and they were all spent at different paypal accounts- none with the same name. None with the name of eusaclassics.

While I am out the money I entrusted to them, please don’t let other people fall for this scam!
