Type of a scam Online Purchase
I looked on Craigslist looking for a cheap car. I found one for $1500. It was a 2007 Acura TL. I emailed the craigslist back with my email address. They then sent me a personal email from a Erica Bain. She told me I need to forward my address to ebay Motors to protect us both. (Funny) They would be handling the transaction between us. She then told me in this email that the car is actually in California at a Army Base and she would gladly ship it to me and she would pay for the transportation costs once I pay the money for the car.. I then received an email from Ebay Motors saying I needed to load three WalMart Cards!! for the amount of $500 each. I was floored by this. I did not give them any money… I knew for a car that price there was something wrong with car but this scam I was not expecting. I seen that someone fell for this and actually gave them money. I still have the original email if interested to find them and get this persons money back.
