Type of a scam Family/Friend Emergency
Call received from young man saying he is my grandson. When I said ‘what?’ he said your oldest grandson. He did not say his name. He said he was in Las Vegas attending a wedding and that he got drunk and was arrested for DUI. He needed $3,000 to get out of jail but only had $1,000 on him. He was really embarrassed and asked not to mention this to anyone else especially his parents. He asked me to go to target and buy 2 gift cards for $1,000 each and call his lawyer to give him the numbers off the cards. Later the ‘lawyer’, Eric Stone, called and harassed me for the money but I told him I didn’t have any. I had also verified that my grandson was fine and not in jail.
