Type of a scam Online Purchase
I have an ad on Craigslist to sell a car. I received a text from a person (214- 506-7425) claiming to be the son of Eric Martinez, asking if the car was still available and asking for an email response to Mr. Martinez at [email protected], which I did. Martinez then asked me a number of details about the car, wanted to be assured that he would not be disappointed if he bought it, and would I accept payment by Pay Pal. I responded to his questions, and told him I would accept a Pay pal payment. He accepted my price without negotiation, and asked for my Pay pal information. I had become suspicious, did a little research on Pay Pal scams, and told him I thought he was a scam. Heard no further from him.
However, now I have another text inquiry, which I suspect may follow the same pattern.
