I was looking to buy a smartphone, so I looked on the marketplace page and found one for sale. I contacted Eric and made plans to meet him to check out. He asked me to meet him at Price Choppers ,so I did. He gave me the phone, I looked at it. He said it was unlocked so I trusted him and gave him the $120. He walked off. When I realized it was locked, I drove towards where I saw him walking and found out where he lives! I knocked on his door, but of course no one answered. I called the town’s police department and told them what happened, and they wouldn’t help me. Told me that it wasn’t a police matter and that I got scammed.
