I was in search of a kitten on Craigslist and came across an add for Persian Cats. I contacted the seller by phone and she offered for me to go see them. I let her know that I was out of state and that the transaction would not work. She reassured me that she was able to ship out of state. I was hesitant but decided to move forward. I paid her through Western Union $200 for the kitten. She then had the stated shipping company contact me to set up the delivery. They needed $980 for the cats insurance. I researched their web site and they were part of this business burou page so I felt that they were legitimate. The insurance was supposed to be refunded once the kitten arrived. They sent me all the information on the vet check, the flight information and arrival time. Turns out, I even had to sign a certificate of ownership. Wel0l, then the cat had to get vaccines and I all of a sudden needed to pay for the carrier. The lowest amount was another $600. That’s when I realized something was wrong. My husband ended up finding their web site on Rip off report. I lost $1200.
