Envision Healthcare- IMPOSTER

Victim Location 30114

Type of a scam Healthcare/Medicaid/Medicare

I was contacted via text. I have applied for several position on indeed, monster, and glassdoor. I have been contacted by email, phone, and text before so this didn’t standout. They asked me to use Google’s Hangout. I knew Google is good so I proceeded. They gave me their info and asked me to answer some generic questions. I was a little weirded out by the app so I researched Envision and tried to verify info as I received it. I even placed a call into Envision to verify. I didn’t find anything odd. They send me an offer letter and employee packet (handbook, code of ethics, etc). I completed it and sent it back.

They proceeded to make arrangements with me for training. They told me they would be sending me a check to purchase a computer to use for training. I did find this odd. I received the check today with a letter (see attached). This is where I knew something was for sure wrong. I started contacting the authorities, my bank and the bank the check was from (they confirmed it was not a valid account number), the company that the return address was from ( no one by that name works there), and Envision Healthcare. When I called Envision this time there was a recording that prompted me to allow me to ask for HR. When I called Monday I was routed straight to a person who confirmed everything. Both calls were made to 303.495.1200.
