Type of a scam Government Grant

Someone, who I thought I knew, contacted me on Facebook by message. Actually, the scammer had hacked into this person’s account. Anyway, this person said they had received money from Mr. Romero of the Employee’s Compensation Appeals Board and my name was on Mr. ROmero’s list to receive money. I was told to call 646-838-3502 and tell them that I wanted to claim my money. I did that, and I received a text that contained a form to fill out. They just kept asking questions and stringing me along. They said I was eligible for a Government Grant since I was retired. Then they texted me that I would have to pay $1500 to get my grant. The grant did not have to be repaid; it would be mine to keep. The grant was for. $100,000.00. So, to cut this short, I told them I didn’t have $1500 to give them. They wanted me to use a credit card. I told them that mine was maxed out. I told them I would talk to my husband when he came home. I didn’t hear anything else from them.
