I inquired about a 2008 Toyota Tacoma SR5 listed on San Antonio, Tx Craigslist. I texted the number and they requested an email account where they could send more pictures of the vehicle. I received an email from "Ella Nilson" stating she was being deployed overseas and eBay was handling the transition. I research some items on eBay and did not see an issue. I then received an invoice in an email from "eBay Motors" explaining how I needed to proceed with the transaction. I followed the instructions. I contacted "customer service" a few times and they walked me through the process. After I send the original $3000.00, they required a shipping deposit. When I contacted customer service again questioning this deposit, they explained it was returnable when I received the vehicle. Once I received confirmation that the transaction was complete, we awaiting information regarding shipping of the vehicle. A few days later when I contacted customer service several times, each time I was disconnected. I then went online to find a different number to speak to a representative. At this time, eBay stated there was no record of the transaction and that I must have been a victim of a scam.
