I was in the market for an earlier model Chevrolet truck when i came across an ad on "Hot Classics" website. It was just what I was looking
for so I inquired about it with what I thought was owner. After texting back and forth I realized the truck history kept changing from "lost in divorce" to "dad died and i got from the estate" to "owner restored and kept inside in climate control area. The owner "Thomas Ryan" as I was told lived in Burley, ID and the truck was in storage at "Elkhorn Express Transportation Co. I was told the owner was working for Cheasapeake Energy Co. and was overseas untill Sept. 2018 and the transport company would handle everything, which they did contact me, have me fill out what seemed to be authentic documents, then register on their website to be able to track delivery. Almost immediately I started getting calls about wiring the money to a holding account and then I could expect delivery and inspect truck within a few days. I felt suspicious so i looked on the ScamPulse.com site and found where someone else had just been scammed out of $19,000.00 on similar transaction. Thank God for the ScamPulse.com website. The Elkhorn Express is still trying to contact me for the money as i type this……i googled their address and it was a secluded farmhouse in the middle of nowhereville, ID. everything about this scam seemed legit, but apparently wasn’t. Be careful buying on internet and make sure to check out extensively the people you are dealing with or you may become a victim too.
