Type of a scam Counterfeit Product
I clicked on an ad link to this site. I don’t remember where or if it was a google ad or an ad on reddit, but the headline/tagline said something to the extent of ‘60% off NHL Jerseys’.
I think the entire website is the scam. There is no footprint on Google and it appears the domain was registered in June. There are some type of tracking cookies or something because I have seen the homepage banner for ‘elite59.com’ as both ‘Elite Store – Official Experience’, with a logo similar to the Fanatics logo but not the same, and also as ‘MLBshop.com – A Fanatics Experience’ with correct logos. The prices seem to be too good to be true as everything is heavily discounted. They are offering Reebok Authentic NHL Jerseys for $54.99. The issue there is the price is too low and they offer a size ’48’ jersey, but the real Reebok jerseys are only available in size 46 and then skip to size 50, there is no 48.
How does this relate to the BBB? -They have a ScamPulse.com seal at the bottom of their website and it links to Fanatics Retail Group (which it seems they are not). They also have a phony McAfee Secure icon that links to nothing and social media icons that got to the homepage of the linked site rather than their page. There is no contact address other then a contact form.
Bottom Line: This website seems to be a counterfeit copy of various Fanatics storefronts.
