Type of a scam Counterfeit Product
I was served this Instagram account via other accounts, so there’s some major marketing going on on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sarah.v.stanford/?hl=en.
There is a fake article in the account that quotes a study about weight loss using these keto pills. There’s a free trial for $4.95 but what it doesn’t tell you in the T&Cs (only accessible on desktop, not mobile) is that it signs you up for a subscription that bills you every 14 days for nearly $100. The pills are absolutely counterfeit. The entire company is fake; the company that charges your credit card is fake with an incomplete phone number and no contact or address information. The trial website lists customer support numbers for other companies not affiliated with it, so it’s impossible to cancel said subscription as the company doesn’t exist. Additionally the name of the pills changes names every time you click on the ad and corresponding customer service numbers also change, so it’s clear this is a total scam.
These scams have been caught by the FTC before: https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0101-free-trial-offers
