Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Hello,
I placed a classified ad on a local selling site and was soon contacted by a person wanting the item.
I received a check for 2845.00 USD from them and deposited it into my account. I was then instructed to wire 2000.00 USD
for shipping charges, via Western Union. Soon after that the check bounced and was subtracted from my account.
I believe I am a victim of check fraud. I still have all messages, numbers, receipts, and letters from the scammer.
