Total money lost $215.76

Type of a scam Credit Cards

On 25 February, 2016, this company attempted to steal 215.76 from my

account for services that had been cancelled at least a year prior,

if not more. This is a website hosting company, and I no longer had

an active account with them. When I called, they tried to tell me

convince me that I had not closed my account fully, and yet, they

seemed to have no trouble at all with regard to reversing the charge

when I became firm. This is not the first and only time this company

has attempted to glean monies from individuals unlawfully. You need

only search the Internet to see many such other attempts. I believe

this company to be a scam and a means by which they can steal from

unsuspecting individuals. I learned about them only because I had

FREE WEBSITE GUYS (also a scam) build my website, and they told me

that if I used iPage as my host, I would get a huge discount. Later,

I found that my website had been hacked and that despite their

promise that I would be the only ADMIN on the site created for me,

they had full rights to it. With those rights, my website was hacked

and unusable. This began a series of odd charges on the part of

iPage, which I had to dispute even back then. I bank with Chase.
