EGiving claims to offer a convenient way for donors to donate on-line to a charity by using that charity’s web site. I donated $25 on-line to my charity by using my charity’s web site via EGiving. The $25 was sent to a different entity than the charity whose web site I was using. EGiving did deduct from my charity Egiving’s fees. Repeated emails and phone calls to EGiving did not result in either my $25 being sent to my charity, or reimbursement of EGiving’s fees. As it turned out, it cost my charity over $31 in fees for my $25 donation, which my charity never received.
