Type of a scam Tech Support
A Max Anderson (probably not his real name as it changed to Dani and then Mike) from eFroze Technologies (www.eFrozeTech.com) contacted me by phone and purported to provide PC Technical Support, said he was a Microsoft Intune service Provider. I apparently "paid" for the service via Paypal, but the payments never actually went through. He would call me periodically and I would give him access to my computer using AnyDesk and he would run scans, seem to install new drivers, update Windows, etc. It all seemed legitimate and after many months of building up trust, he said he needed to get another payment, this time through Coinbase to send them Bitcoin. We set that up and transferred money, he said it didn’t work, we did more, said that didn’t work, did more, etc. When I saw that the money was all going out, he said I would get a refund. But instead of a refund, he took more! Then I got suspicious and tried to call him, but no answer. Funny thing is, he keeps calling me, but I don’t let him on my computer any more. But he’s not refunding my money. Lost over $2K!
