Type of a scam Employment
Was on Craigslist and came across an add that was posted by a man calling himself Eddie Sars who was wanting to rent the side of our vehicle to place a monster logo and that monster would be paying us $500 a week the first check would be first week pay in advanced and remaining $1100 also included in the check was to go towards paying the specialist for doing the monster logo…..
When we received the check we took it to the same Bank branch (local) bank of the west) where it was issued from… Where they explained that it was a fraudulent check and that they would have to seize it. But agreed with me that it was smart to bring the check to its original bank where they had info on the account that other banks wouldn’t have. . we asked how to go about reporting it and they suggested here. So here it is… Thank God I used my head and went to the bank it was from or I would have owed my bank almost $2000. I have more info on the person(S) involved in it.. Numbers and address and emails if it helps.
