Type of a scam Employment
I have posted my resume on various job boards. One day I got an email asking me to reply if I were still interested. The job offered was not in my field of business but I replied nonetheless. Some time went by and I got a text message telling me they had sent me an email. I looked into my inbox, found noting but found that email in my spam folder. That email was to let me know they were proceeding with my application and I should get the final decision in about three days.
Three days later they sent me an offer letter and a description of my duties.
The duties include buying small electronics and shipping them to a warehouse. I do not have the address of that warehouse.
There are two ways getting that job done, in both cases they give you the companies bank account and a purchase order.
Method A:
link the bank account to one of your credit cards
transfer money to buy the merchandise plus 50% of your base salary to your credit card from that bank account
buy the merchandise
ship it
Method B:
buy the merchandise using your credit card
send them the invoice
link the bank account to your credit card
transfer the invoice amount to your credit card
wait until that transfer is completed
ship the merchandise
Method A is used to pay off a balance on your card, Method B is used in case you do not have a balance.
The job offer was very good, a high salary paid bi-weekly and commission on top (up to 27%) and a lot of benefits.
First I accepted but after some more research I terminated that immediately.
