Type of a scam Counterfeit Product
Woman was selling car, cause it belonged to her husband that recently died from a heart attack. She said it brought back to many memories of him and she just wanted it gone. It was 1999 mercury grand marqui with 64,000 miles for $ 500.00 . She said ebay motors had car, shipping was included in price. She said ebay would be contacting us about the car. She said she had got a new job, and had moved out of state. Instructions from Ebay said to go to CVS, RITE-ADE, WALMART or TARGET and purchase a TARGET gift card and put $ 500.00 on it, and then scratch off grey strip and send them the pin # and they would deliver the car to us in 2 to 3 days. We called number and someone who we couldn’t understand answered. We told them no way we would do that. We would do it face to face or by PAYPAL. They hung up.
