Type of a scam Online Purchase
Last evening my husband and I were inquiring about a boat on Craig’s list. We were going to purchase this and the seller said she was set up with EBAY Motors to have the boat delivered, title free and clear to our house once we paid the $1000.00 to EBAY Motors. Said she was leaving to go out of the country on the 5th of next month on deployment with the military and selling her boat because her husband passed away 4 months ago. We received the email from EBAY Motors with the invoice instructing us to buy 5, $200.00 EBAY cards, take a picture of them with the numbers exposed on the back along with pin and also email the numbers and email back all of the information. They would process the payment and we would receive the boat within 3 business days delivered to our house . I felt very uneasy about this and did not do what they asked; however, I feel this is a scam and wanted to report so others know about this.
I did notice other alerts on your website, very similar. There was also a second email that was used from the "seller" it is [email protected]
