Type of a scam Online Purchase
Facebook Marketplace advertised a 2012 Toyota Camry (84k miles) $1500. Vehicle Armenta advertised sale, stating it was his aunts personal car & gave me her email address. I asked where I can see the car but it was in Montana & Im in OR. She turned car over to eBay Motors who sent me official invoice via email, w/ phone #. Catch was I had to purchase 3 gift cards from eBay for $500 each. I would receive car within 5 days, inspect it & return it if Im not happy. They would not take by eBay credit card. Suspicious I called corporate office. EBay told me it was a scam.
