Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
I had been researching personal loans on internet. Received an unsolicited email with subject: EZ Loan Approval. Said I was approved and had several pages detailing how they help persons with a bad credit history. l called the number on email and was informed that although my credit was poor, they were willing to work with me. (see the attached) Asked that I "verify" that I had first month’s payment and in good faith go to Wal-mart and send $250 for "verification" and they would in turn deposit the total of $5000 plus $250 for a total of $5250 into my bank account. (refunding the good faith fee). Told me to call when I arrive at Wal-mart parking lot and to call him back directly, so he could immediately verify transaction and send money. Said I could then go to ATM and verify that funds were in my bank. I had a few questions about why it was to be handled this way and he directed me to a website www.ezmoney.com to check out their business.
