Type of a scam Employment
I was contacted via my college email and a man claiming to be "Dr. *** ***Â offered a very high-paying job. He requested my address, phone #, and personal email to contact me. In hindsight, it should’ve been quite obvious it was a scam, but in the moment it didn’t occur to me. He contacted me and said I could start immediately, with instructions to deposit a check or something. This was when I was sure it was a scam. I gave him no other info besides address, phone #, email, which he won’t be able to do much with anyway. He used broken English and claimed to be a doctor helping kids with disabilities. Disgusting.
