When I bought my house in January 2016, 1 week after I moved in, I had an ice dam with water going thru to my basement. Do It Right Roofing – Manotik, Ontario came and dealt with the ice dam. October that year, I had them replace the shingling. I had asked them to verify the insulation. They said my insulation was fine. 2 months later, ice dams again!! They come, fix it and leave. I asked them about this…answer, ‘Maybe your soffits are plugged’.
3 years later, I still have ice dams with water going thru the front door and I still get the same excuses… ‘Maybe your soffits are plugged’. After an hour on the phone with them, they finally said ‘We don’t do insolation’! I said ‘Why did you not tell me in the first place 3 years ago!’
I had paid them cash and I had asked for something in writing twice but never received.
Stay away from this company. You will be lied to and played. They are simply shingglers and not roofers!
I have no recourse with the previous owners for not disclosing this issue.
I have no recourse with the Realter
I have no recourse with the Inspector as he wrote off my roof saying there was snow on it.
I have no recourse with Do It Right Roofing!
