Type of a scam Debt Collections
Woman named Carol Johnson called me, my husband and my brother. Said they had certified document for me to deliver at my house. If not there they would go to my job. I don’t work. They used my maiden name which hasn’t been used in over a decade. She insisted I would see her at my house. They could not tell me any info gave me a number. I called and they were very pushy and rude. I said I had no outstanding debts or collections and this is illegal. Woman said they are a “recovery” company and the federal rules do not apply to them. We exchanged not nice words and she hung up on me.
