Type of a scam Credit Cards
I called this number, thinking I was calling Discover Card (their number is the same number ending with 83). The person pretended to work for discover, took my credit card info (my card was an expired card), and told me she will connect me to her supervisor later to be sent a $200 gift card as a thank you. She took my name and address to send the gift card, and date of birth. She said I’d only have to pay $9.95 for the gift card to be mailed. She repeated my info and made me say “correct” a few times. Then she connected me to another person who kept talking about a $1000 grocery certificate, and then a $25 gift card. At this point I just hung up.
