I am 47 years old. I posted my resume online. I got an email offering me a Mystery Shopping job. I received a check in the mail on 4.6.17 for $2,900.00. The name on the check was "Disability Management Services Inc". I don’t have a checking account, so I took it to *** *** *** on *** Ave, ***, OH, owned by ***. The check was dated 3.24.17. I cashed it on 4.6.17. The check came back as no good. The owner of Zane Food Mart contacted the *** Police. Detective *** (?) told me I should have known better, and that I needed to pay the money back or criminal charges would be filed. He was not sympathetic to my situation. I made an arrangement with *** to pay the money back, and I’ve saved $1,000 to pay him, but he wants it all by June 30th.
