Call purporting to be from DirecTV with spoofed caller ID 800-531-5000, offering a promotion for 2 years bundled price of $89.95 per month for my new AT&T internet and DirecTV package. However, I would have to buy an Amazon prepaid gift card for $360 to pre-pay the first 4 months. Then I would need to call a number 888-902-2408 extension 1 which is supposedly the DirecTV billing department, and use the card for prepayment with promotion code DTV8017. This phone number does not appear to be associated with DirecTV, and I have verified with DirecTV that this offer is not coming from them. Therefore I have not followed through with this offer, but want to warn others.
