Type of a scam Employment

I found an incredible employment opportunity in the local newspaper and applied to a company I thought was named Across Healthcare providing my resume. I initially received an email from someone at the National Alliance for Advancement of Haitian Professionals (a legitimate organization), but could find no address on their website. I was contacted the next day via email to meet with Steve Waddell on Google Hangouts app for a chat interview with a company named DIOS Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd. out of India. During the interview I was asked for my full name, address and phone numbers as well as some personal information. I was also to buy specific office equipment for which they would send a company check to purchase from a to be named vendor. They offered me $35/hour with $18 during training. The employment offer came via email from the company, but the email address didn’t look right. When I typed in consultant.com I got an immediate alert from McAfee that I might not want to go there because my personal information might be stolen. I knew the offer sounded too good to be true. I’m glad they didn’t get my signature required on the offer letter. I already have fraud alerts on my credit reports, but I’m going to double check that to make sure they are still active. I copied the majority of our chat interview and maintained for my records to show what I feel are potential red flags.
