Type of a scam Tax Collection
A lady by the name of Leslie Owens left a message on my answering machine saying that legal action had been taken out against my name but left no name in which she was referring to. She said to call this number 323-786-1041 immediately with my attorney to avoid any additional legal action. She claimed to be calling from the Dept. of Legal Affairs. I returned the call and a male answered the phone saying "US Treasury". I had a feeling this was a scam from the start. He said the office was closing could he call me back. Began to ask questions about my name phone # and that he would have someone call me back in the morning. I immediately hung up and googled the phone #. The white pages shows it to be a scam or fraud number.
